Day 1

Casablanca Fes

We will meet you from the airport or your residence and welcome you to Morocco. Then directly start our journey towards Fes, which set about 4 hours away

Fes/Fez

Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital, is one of the most complete medieval Islamic cities in the world. Walking through the gates and walls into the passages almost brings you back in time. Perhaps only the satellite dishes will remind you of today’s world. The streets are very much as they were when they were built in the 8th century, with high walls that defend the courtyards inside from the heat of the midday sun. Vast theosophical colleges, stunning mosques and mesmerizing souks dripping their merchandise onto the street are all part of the picture. You will have a walking guided tour to some of the more notable sites. You’ll visit the Place an-Nejjarine, where an ancient caravanserai overlooks a fountain; wander outside the great Qayrawan mosque, pass the 14th century merchant's shops; or head to the tanneries - where leather is tainted in array of colored dyes. In the souk al- Attarine, the smell of exotic spices pervades the air.

Day 3

Fes Midelt Merzouga

We will day travel across some incredible and very varied landscapes. We will depart early in the morning from Fes and set into the Middle Atlas Mountains. As we start approaching Azrou, the impressive cedar forests will line our road. It is here that we will make stop to watch the Barbary Apes in the natural habitat. Then as we reach the city of Midelt we start to descend into the scenic Ziz Valley. which is lined by many palm trees. The road will take us to the old garrison town of Erfoud from where it is another hour of drive to Merzouga, the desert destination. Upon our arrival to Merzouga we will saddle our camels and let our guide to lead us into the desert during spectacular sunset. We will enjoy the beautiful views of a sea of sand along with the solitude and peacefulness of this region.

Day 4
Todra Gorge

Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

Waking up during dawn will give you the unique pleasure of watching the sun light the sand dunes into life. We will return from our oasis in the desert back to Merzouga for breakfast and to shower. Departing the desert, we’ll travel to the spectacular gorge of Todra, considered one of the most dramatic sights one can come across in all of Morocco. The gorge was carved out by the Todra river, which formed cliff-sided canyons on its final 40 km through the mountains. The final 600m of the gorge are stunning as the canyon narrows to a flat stony track, which is as little as 10m wide in areas with sheer and smooth rock walls. After our visit and taking a break to stretch our legs, we will journey to the Gorge of Dades, where we will spend the night.

Day 5

Dades Gorge – Ait Ben HaddouMarrakech

After breakfast, we will travel the road of Thousand Kasbahs towards Ouarzazate. We will be passing the Rose Valley, which is especially beautiful during April and May when the whole valley smells of roses and the palm oasis of Skoura. We will then arrive to Ouarzazate, where it is just a hop to Ait Ben Haddou. This magnificent Ksour is like icon of Morocco. Built on a hilltop, it offers incredible views of the world below. Then it will be time to cross the High Atlas Mountains through the dramatic Tizi n Tichka Pass. Built by the French, it is the highest pass in Morocco and offers one of a kind views of the snow covered peaks of the Atlas Mountains. Many Berber villages exists here, where the green valleys smells of apples. We will arrive to Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Marrakech

Marrakech is one of the Imperial Cities and on the list of every traveler heading to Morocco. It has many old historical significant sights to visit as well as plenty of colorful gardens. You can explore the city independently or if you prefer, we can arrange an authorized guide to take you on a guided walking tour through the old medina visiting old palaces, sights and quarters of the medina.
